CHARLOTTE, NC – Charity WORKS for businesses!

Have you considered organizing an inner-office program to help support the programs of Birthday Blessings?  It can be as simple or involved as you and your company choose.  Here’s some ideas and recent examples:

  • Corporate Anniversary Celebrations: Is your business celebrating a milestone birthday?  Take Belk Women’s Leadership Network.  This engaged group of women spearheaded a corporate event and collection drive at Belk headquarters in honor of its first birthday, featuring a Birthday Blessings display, a chance for employees to talk with BB volunteers about getting involved, and providing an opportunity for our founders to give a special presentation. In all, Belk and its employees contributed a total of $2,500 in financial and product donations!  Consider recognizing your company’s anniversary by incorporating an event that helps support Birthday Blessings!
  • Casual for a Cause: Offer employees an opportunity to participate in a dress-down day each month by contributing $X to help support Birthday Blessings.  Employees at Scottish Re participated in “jeans day” on Fridays for an entire month, raising over $2,000 for Birthday Blessings!
  • Event Sponsorships: Birthday Blessings events are a great way to show your company’s support for those in need across our community, and an opportunity for your employees to get involved.  Whether it’s major event sponsorships, like our annual golf tourney or spring fundraising soiree, or sponsorship of community awareness and family-fun outings, like our holiday stuff-the-stockings event, your company’s support will make a positive impact in the lives of  homeless children and in the lives of your employees.
  • Collection drives: Encourage employees to bring in new gifts or supplies to help support Birthday Blessings.  Make it an annual service project, a department or team-building project, or connect a collection drive to a company event!
  • Birthday Tributes: Offer employees the opportunity to recognize and honor co-workers’ special days by contributing to a Birthday Tribute program that will help support homeless children on their birthdays.
