November 2010 – Birthday Blessings is THANKFUL to all of the students, faculty, and families of St. Gabriel Catholic School for donating over 400 bags filled with comfort and care essentials for our Blessing Bags project.  What a gift!

Every grade level across the entire school participated in the project.  Younger grade levels decorated bags with festive stickers and designs, while older students helped collect items and fill the bags.  In all nearly 450 bags were filled with stuffed animals, care-essentials and toiletries, which will be accompanied by blankets and included with our Blessing Bags for the transient homeless students served through our Student Birthdays Program.

The Blessing Bags project is one of the many critical-care program components of Birthday Blessings.  Our goal is to not only lift spirits and boost confidence for homeless children, but to also help provide for their basic needs.  The programs of Birthday Blessings go beyond the birthday by providing meals, education and enrichment activities, new books, and critical-care essentials to the neediest children across our community.

Thank you to everyone at St. Gabe for helping make a difference in the lives of hundreds of homeless children. Your generosity is a blessing!
